This is one of the dance performances offered at the annual festival of Atago Shrine. It is also a street dance that goes through the town. What is characteristic of this street dance is that some movements of judo were introduced in the early 20th century. The dancers are all female and they dance beautifully. Music is played with drums, Japanese flutes, and songs. They used to play gongs and shamisen (three-stringed traditional Japanese musical instruments) as well.
